About The Weekend

We will end the Summer Art Series with a Steampunk Weekend full of great activates and fun for the whole family. This unique event is family friendly and offers free entertainment until 4pm, when it then becomes a ticketed event. Starting at 4pm, three amazing bands, including Libido Funk Circus, Steam Powered Giraffe, and Candy Town, will perform under the circus-like tent. There are also steampunk vendors, special guests, costume contest and food vendors.

Join us as we welcome Thomas Willeford, steampunk writer, artist, and maker. His published works include Steampunk Gear, Gadgets, and Gizmos: A Maker's Guide to Creating Modern Artifacts and The Steampunk Adventurer's Guide: Contraptions, Creations, and Curiosities Anyone Can Make. Mr. Willeford will be selling copies of his books, talking about his work, and displaying his awesome steampunk Iron Man suit! He will also demonstrate his method of reinforcing craft foam.

The ladies of the Lockport Oolong Protectorate Society have just returned from a spectacular tour of the major tea producing areas in China, Japan and India on their dirigible airship, The Jewel of Lockport. You are Cordially Invited to join the Society at an Afternoon Tea to welcome the members home from their triumphant voyage and sample teas collected during their travels. They will be providing tea from one of the oldest regions in the world, considered to be the birthplace of tea. You will be soothed by the beautiful music of a harpist and enjoy the beauty of textiles from around the world.
